The roots are showing the slightest bit of brown color, and I'm worried that some mold/fungus may be forming. So, I'm going to attempt to plant it in soil tonight. I have no idea if this will take or just die shortly after. Wish me luck.

Good luck! I hope it works, if it does I might just try it myself:) I just went out to my garden and saw my first lime on the tree. I got the dwarf lime tree quite a few months ago and so far NOTHING! I am so excited!!!
I'm afraid my poor transplants aren't doing well. Once again, I probably should have done a wee bit of research before plunking the basil into soil. LOL
